Rovers at home again v Caulfield

Hampton Rovers are back at the Boss this Saturday, hosting another local side Caulfield Grammarians in round six of the 2015 VAFA Premier B season. Book now for the Home Game Luncheon prior to the big clash.

The Rovers don’t play at home for almost another month with two away games followed by a week-off before Fitzroy comes to town, so we’re encouraging everyone to get along for the Home Game Luncheon. A special call-out to anyone who has never attended a lunch at the Rovers and all the parents!

All three luncheons held this season have been hugely popular with the past two sold-out with some 120 people at each. The cost is $30 per head for the best meal in the Ammo’s and drinks are available at bar prices. To book, simply contact Gary Nash on gnash@jte.com.au or 0407 313 054 and pay on arrival. 12 midday for a 12:30pm start, until the start of the seniors game at 2pm. Show your support for the Rovers by purchasing a 2015 Club Membership.

Hampton Rovers and Caulfield Grammarians haven’t met since 2011 and in the last meeting, the Rovers pulled off a shock upset, getting up by 69 points against the eventual B Grade premiers – a 206-point turnaround from the game earlier in the season.

Four years later and after five rounds, both teams sit on two wins with the Rovers superior percentage placing them in fifth position on the ladder while Caulfield sit eight. Both teams are coming off round five wins with the Rovers recording a big victory over Parkdale and Caulfield defeating Fitzroy.

The Rovers have two changes to the side that recorded a big win over Parkdale last round. It promises to be another tough contest and a win is important for the Rovers to square the ledger at three-three. We encourage everyone to get along to Boss James Reserve and show their support. The Seniors kick-off at 2pm with the Reserves at 11:40am.

Live scores of the main game are available on the Rovers website and mobile site and you can also get updates throughout the day on Twitter (@HRAFC), Facebook and photos on Instagram.

Also on Saturday, the Thirds travel to Ferndale Park in Glen Iris to face St Mary’s Salesian commencing at 9:20am. The Rovers will be keen to put in another strong performance following their first win of the season last weekend.

The Under 19s are also on the road, facing Old Camberwell at Gordon Barnard Reserve (oval 2) in North Balwyn kicking-off at 2:00pm.

Saturday evening is the first senior function of 2015 with our annual Ladies Night. It’ll no doubt be a big one and we welcome everyone along from 7:30pm to enjoy the festivities. The 2015 Rovers player revue is not to be missed! Proudly supporting Lung Foundation Australia. Click here for all the details >
