Rovers prepare for first practice hit-out

Training moves to Tuesday’s & Thursday’s from this week onwards as the Rovers prepare to face Ormond in the first practice match of 2015 this Sunday at Parkdale.

The boys have been working hard since pre-season training resumed in January following the break. Numbers have been good with an abundance of young players and a sprinkling of new players to the club on the track, amongst the seasoned campaigners. Numbers are now expected to increase as we training steps-up a gear and the season gets closer – just over a month until round one.

As of this week, training will be held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, commencing 6pm at Boss James Reserve. We welcome all new and existing players.

This Sunday, the Rovers play their first practice match of 2015 season, facing arch-rivals Ormond at Parkdale Secondary College, Warren Road, Mordialloc. There will be three games with the Under 19s at 10am, Reserves/Thirds at 12pm and Seniors at 2pm.

Live scores and updates will be available on Rovers Twitter: @HRAFC

The following week, the Rovers face WRFL side Albion in a practice match at Sunshine on Saturday 21st March and then SFL side Mordialloc at Ben Kavanagh Reserve on Saturday 28th March.

The 2015 Hampton Rovers Season Launch will be held on Thursday 2nd April at Hotel Brighton – full details will be announced this week. And the 2015 VAFA season kicks-off the following Saturday with the Hampton Rovers hosting Mazenod at Boss James Reserve.

Note for all Senior players: If you haven’t already done so, please fill out the 2015 VAFA online registration form – click here. This must be done by all players prior to round 1.
