Hampton Rovers are at home for the final time this season when they host arch-rivals Oakleigh at Boss James Reserve on Saturday. All supporters are encouraged to get along and make it a big crowd for the final time at David Street in 2014.
The Rovers have won their past five matches and are in good form, sitting second on the ladder. Two wins to finish the season are vital to ensure a top-two finish and the double-chance in the finals. Just one change to the side this week which is rare.
Oakleigh are coming off a big win against Banyule and sit fifth on the ladder, one game out of the four. The rivalry between the two sides always bring out the best from both, and with Oakleigh needing a win to keep their finals aspirations alive, it promises to be a cracker of a game. Last time they met, Hampton won a thriller by two points back in round seven.
The final home game means it’s also the final Hampton Rovers President’s Luncheon of 2014. The club has had strong attendances all year including over 100 last week and we look forward to another big luncheon to finish off the year. The Under 19s will be looking to make it eight-straight wins when they take on Old Haileybury at Princes Park in Caulfield commencing at 2:00pm.
Everyone is welcome back to Boss James Reserve where the bar will be open immediately following the Seniors match at around 4:30pm with match awards for all four games at 5:30pm.
