Hampton Rovers will be looking for their fourth-straight win when they travel to Heidelberg on Saturday to face bottom-placed Banyule.
Following the convincing victory over PEGS at Boss James Reserve last weekend, the Rovers are in good form despite some injury concerns. There are five changes to the side including Jack Lloyd who becomes the 51st player to run out for the seniors in 2014. Also out of the side is Sandringham captain Adam Cockie who returns to VFL duty after his Rovers debut in the 43-point victory.
Last time the two teams met, it was the Rovers who ran out 108-point winners at the Boss. The Bears have improved however with two wins on the board including victor over Ormond last weekend, so they’re not to be taken lightly, especially at their home ground.
The Seniors get underway at 2:00pm and Reserves at 11:40am at R.J. Brockwell Oval, Beverley Road, Heidelberg (view map).
If you can’t make it to the game, you can keep up-to-date with the live scores here and on the mobile site (m.hamptonrovers.com.au), updates & photos on Twitter (@HRAFC) and photos on Instagram (hamptonrovers).
The Thirds are at home, taking on PEGS commencing at 11:40am at Boss James Reserve. If you’re unable to make it out to support the seniors then head along to the Boss and show your support for the Thirds in what’s a winnable game.
The Under 19’s travel in the opposite direction, taking on Peninsula Old Boys at Narambi Reserve in Mornington, commencing at 2:00pm. The young Rovers have won their past five matches and it’ll be a close contest with both sides thereabouts on the ladder.
