Seniors

Hampton Rovers v Peninsula

Hampton Rovers hosts Peninsula Old Boys on Saturday in round five of the VAFA Premier C season at Boss James Reserve. It’s a huge day with the Ladies Lunch and later in the evening, the Ladies Night function as we celebrate Women’s Round.

Both Hampton and Peninsula lost their first games of the season last weekend which dropped them back to the pack. Now four teams share top spot but percentage means it’ll be 1 v 2 at Hampton on Saturday.

The Rovers will be looking to rebound after a disappointing outing last Saturday against PEGS at Keilor Park and there are six changes to the side, of which two play their first game in Rovers colours for the season.

The Seniors kick-off at 2:00pm with the Reserves at 11:40am. If you can’t make it to Boss James Reserve, you can catch the live scores on the Rovers website and mobile site plus updates on Twitter (@HRAFC) and Instagram (hamptonrovers).

The club is doing its bit to recognise Women’s Round with our annual sold-out Women’s Luncheon commencing at 12 midday sharp. It’s always a highlight on the Rovers social calendar and we look forward to 150 predominantly women filling the social room. Guest speaker is Australian runner Kelly Hetherington and we’re proud to be supporting the Zaidees Rainbow Foundation. Click here for more information.

The Thirds take on St Mary’s Salesian away at Ferndale Park in Glen Iris, commencing at 11:40am. After having their first win of the season last week over Ormond, the Rovers will be looking to follow this up with another strong showing. They have a full side and are raring to go.

The Under 19s game has been moved to Castlefield Reserve, Ludstone Street due the VAFA reshuffling the fixture and Auskick scheduled at Boss James Reserve on Saturday morning. They play the Monash Blues commencing at 9:20am. Why not head along there and show your support for the young Rovers before heading down to David Street.

To wrap up the big day, it’s Ladies Night at Boss James Reserve from 7:30pm and everyone is welcome for what is traditionally the biggest senior function of the year. For all the details, click here.
