The Hampton Rovers open the 2014 VAFA season this Saturday at Boss James Reserve and with it comes the first President’s Luncheon of the year. We welcome all supporters along to enjoy the pre-game hospitality.
As always, the club will again host luncheons prior to every home game at Boss James Reserve in 2014. For $30, you’ll get a quality main meal and cheese & biscuits. Drinks are available at bar prices. The bar opens at midday with the lunch commencing at 12:30pm sharp with MC Don Scarlett.
President Matthew Gray will update those in attendance on what’s been happening around the club over the off-season, current news and what’s ahead for the year. We’ll also hear from senior coach Guy Martyn on how the team is shaping up for the new season.
The lunch will wrap up a little earlier than usual allowing everyone to get outside and see the unfurling of the 2013 Premiership Flag which will occur a couple of minutes prior to the first bounce at 2:00pm when the Rovers open their 2014 campaign against local rivals Parkdale Vultures.
We welcome the entire Rovers family from both the senior and junior sections of the club: members & life members, player partners and family, past players, supporters as well as supporters from Parkdale Vultures.
To reserve your spot, contact Gary Nash via email on gnash@jte.com.au or mobile 0407 313 054. Please RSVP by 5pm Thursday to assist our caterers. Payment is made on the day on arrival. To view more details, click here.
We encourage supporters to purchase a club membership in 2014. This year we’ve made a few changes to make packages simpler and they offer outstanding value for money. The most popular is expected to be the silver package giving you nine home game lunches for $250. For full details and to purchase online, please click here.
We traditionally have around 100+ people at the first luncheon of the year and we expect Saturday to be no different so get please book early and get along for what promises to be a great day and the start of another big year at the Hampton Rovers.
