Help Required for 2014

As with any local sporting club, the Hampton Rovers Football Club relies on the generous support of many volunteers to help run the club. The senior section of the club has some roles to fill.

In 2013, 542 players wore the green & gold across 20 teams. While many parents and supporters got involved, there’s always room for more. As preparations start to ramp up for the new season, we’re looking for new people to get involved.

The seniors have four teams competing in the VAFA and a number of officials are required at all games. Preferably, if a large number of parents and supporters put up their hand, then the workload can be shared with a roster system across the season. Duties range from timekeeper, goal umpires and team managers, to helping out in the kitchen Thursday night’s, taking photos for the website and much more.

The club also needs to supply two field umpires (Reserves and Thirds) – these are paid positions. What better way to keep fit, stay involved in the game and earn some money.

This year, the club is committed to providing more structure around the Thirds (Club XVIII). To that end, we need help in the way of more officials.

If you’re interested in helping out the club more off the field, such as assisting with Home Game Luncheons, Club Sponsorship & Membership, then the club would love to hear from you.

Paid positions also exist in the way of medical trainers as well as some canteen and bar staff.

Help is also required across the 16 junior teams and everyone should give it a shot at some stage.

Getting involved at a sporting club is great for the community and you may be surprised in the satisfaction it brings!

If you are interested in helping out the Hampton Rovers Football Club in 2014, please feel free to contact the club or speak to anyone on the senior and junior committee.
