Hampton Rovers hosts Whitefriars this Saturday at Boss James Reserve in the final round of the home & away season. Its also the final Presidents Luncheon of the year and we welcome everyone along for what will be a big day.
The top-of-the-table Seniors are three games clear of second-placed Williamstown and barring any shocks this weekend, will play them in the first week of the finals. Week one finals information including the venue will be announced on Sunday.
The Reserves sit in second place on the ladder and are guaranteed of a top-two finish, meaning theyll play before the seniors in the first final at the same venue.
Before the finals commence though, there is round 18 to deal with and the visitors have plenty to play for. Whitefriars currently sit fourth on the ladder, equal on points with Prahran Assumption, who plays sixth-placed Old Geelong. Fourth spot is well and truly up for grabs. View the ladder here.
The Senior side has five changes – a few back from injury, one back from overseas and a senior debut for Charlie Miles. Meanwhile, the Reserves have a host of changes – 10 in total. Competition for spots in both sides is certainly tough ahead of the finals series.
Congratulations to club captain Leigh Fletcher who plays his 150th senior VAFA game for the Rovers on Saturday.
