Warwick Capper drops in for lunch

Warwick Capper was the guest speaker at Saturday’s home game lunch, providing plenty of entertainment for the 80 or so in attendance.

Warwick talked about his playing days, spoke of recent activity in the media, promoted everything he could and answered many questions from the crowd. He was definitely one of the more entertaining guest speakers to attend a Rovers luncheon.

He also stuck around well into the third quarter of the seniors game as the Rovers went on to defeat Bulleen Templestowe and remain three games clear on top of the ladder.

The President’s Luncheons have again been popular in 2013, attracting an average attendance of around 60-70 with the largest over 130. We’ve had a number of great guest speakers including Nicole Livingstone at the recent Ovarian Cancer Luncheon. And the food has again been first-class, served by the number one chef in the Ammo’s – Tim George.

There is one remaining opportunity to attend a Hampton Rovers Luncheon in 2013, and that’s the final home game of the year on Saturday 24th August when the Rovers host Whitefriars at Boss James Reserve. This will be a celebration of the great year on-field in which the Seniors will finish the regular season as minor-premiers and we’ll look ahead to the 2013 finals series.
