The Hampton Rovers meet local arch-rivals Beaumaris this Saturday at Boss James Reserve. Its a rivalry that has developed over many years and to celebrate were hosting a special Rivalry Luncheon prior to the big game.
Both Hampton Rovers and Beaumaris are two of the biggest and most successful clubs in the Bayside area. The seniors have had a great rivalry, culminating in the 1998 VAFA C section Grand Final in which the Rovers defeated the Sharks by one goal. The rivalry isnt restricted to the senior grades through, with the clubs many junior sides having some great clashes over the years.
This Saturday well re-live some of the past clashes between the Rovers and Sharks. We welcome all supporters, members, family & friends along for what will be a great day.
The bar opens at 12 midday with the luncheon commencing at 12:30pm.
The cost is $30, which includes a main meal, cheese & biscuits and one complementary drink.
