Seniors

Rd7: Rovers @ Old Brighton

The Hampton Rovers take on local rivals Old Brighton in a much anticipated VAFA Premier B clash this Saturday at Brighton Beach Oval.

It’s the first time the two sides have met since 2003 with the Tonners relegated from A Section last season. On the last occasion the two sides did meet, it was the Brighton side getting up by a solitary point.

The Rovers have had a tough start to their 2011 campaign with multiple injuries, suspensions and unavailability’s hindering their progress and only a draw in Round 1 to show for their efforts. There’s no doubt the boys are pumped for this Round 7 clash and they’ll throw everything they’ve got against Old Brighton on Saturday.

Your support is needed though so make sure you get along to Brighton Beach Oval (corner South Road and Beach Road) and get behind the Rovers as they look to get their first win on the board. The Seniors get underway at 2pm with the Reserves at 11:40am.

There is also a luncheon taking place prior to the game, commencing at 12:30pm. We’re trying to organise a table or two. To book your seat on one, please contact Jenny Voss on 0411 773 511 or email jenny.voss@hamptonrovers.com.au by Friday morning.

Live scores from the game will be available on Twitter: @HRAFC

Also on Saturday, the Thirds and Under 19’s are at Boss James Reserve. The Third XVIII are first up at 11:40am taking on Richmond Central followed by the Under 19’s at 2pm playing Old Camberwell. View the full fixtures.

Saturday evening is the major club function of 2011 – the Hampton Rovers Gala Ball, at the Brighton Savoy. Final bookings are now being taken, get along and support the club in what will be a fantastic night! Click Here for details. Please note due to this, the club will not be open following the games on Saturday evening.
