The seniors return to action this Saturday following the Easter break when they host University Blacks at Boss James Reserve. Bookings are now being taken for the pre-game Presidents Luncheon.
The Rovers will be keen to forget the Round 2 shellacking at the hands of B section front-runners Caulfield Grammarians and put up a good performance against the students. All supporters are encouraged to get along and show their support in an important game for the Rovers. The seniors commence at 2pm with the Reserves at 11:40am.
The first luncheon of the year attracted almost 70 patrons and were looking to have another strong turn-up this Saturday. Guest speaker this week is Mark Brayshaw – the former North Melbourne footballer who is now on the club board alongside his brother – President James Brayshaw, and has been involved at the Rovers for several years.
The cost is $30 per head and that includes a quality meal we guarantee you wont be disappointed! Cheese & biscuits and one free standard drink with addition drinks available at bar prices.
The club encourages all members, supporters, partners, family, past players and of course opposition supporters along to the luncheon. MCd by former Rovers premiership coach and past-president Don Scarlett, the lunch provides a few laughs and a great opportunity to catch up with everyone involved at the club.
The lunch is 12 midday for a 12:30pm start. Bar open from midday, with the main game kicking-off at 2:00pm.
Lunch bookings must be made in advanced – Last minute bookings are now being taken!
