The Rovers solid pre-season campaign finished up for the Christmas break on Wednesday evening with a BBQ and a few drinks to finish off a great year. The players now have the luxury of a six week break before training resumes in February.
Many of the senior players asked for pre-season training to be stepped up this year and with the help of Marc and Jack from Marc Stafford Health & Fitness and new Rovers coach Matt Robbins, training has reached new heights and the players have taken to it extremely well, with many feeling fitter than ever.
The pre-Christmas campaign consisted of 16 sessions and numbers remained very strong throughout. The players are committed to giving it their all and look towards pushing for B Section finals action in 2010.
Following the Christmas break, Training will resume on Monday 1st February, 6pm at the club. The Training Camp will be held on the 13th and 14th of February 2010 and all players are encouraged to attend, for further details, please click here.
The first practice game will be against Ocean Grove away on Saturday 13th March while the 2010 VAFA season gets underway on Saturday 10th April with the Rovers visiting Old Essendon.
