The Hampton Rovers website continues to lead the way with another milestone reached during May. For the first time, the website averaged over 1,000 visits per day.
It was a new record month with the site being visited a total of 31,301 times and 163,831 pages viewed – also a record, equating to 5.2 pages per visit. The site is on track to produce another record year with website traffic continually on the up.
In the first five months of 2008, the site has been visited 105,278 times, up 24,223 from the same period last year. And 110,000 more pages have been viewed so far this year. The most popular day during May was Monday the 26th when the site was visited 1,252 times (1,051 unique visitors) and 7,173 pages viewed. Popular pages have included news, senior match results, player profiles, junior team pages and the photo gallery.
As well as a brand new website in 2008, extra content, and of course success on the field, exposure in the media has also contributed to the rise, including Channel 7 News, the Herald Sun, and increased coverage in the Bayside Leader.
