Red Shield Appeal new record

The Hampton Rovers once again took part in the Red Shield Appeal last Sunday and again broke their own record. This year $6,670 was raised for this worthy appeal, which is over $1,000 more than last year’s record.

The club would like to thank the 100 plus kids from the Under 9’s, 10’s and 11’s as well as all the parents. The annual door knock has become a tradition for the Rovers and further strengthens the club’s commitment to the local community.

This year is the ninth year the club has contributed to the appeal, raising a total of over $50,000 to help people in financial need.

Thanks also go to Michelle Curtis,
Shayne Oswald and Bill ?Choc? Mirabito for their overall role in organising the collection.
