Rovers in the media

The Hampton Rovers have received great media exposure around the big Rivalry Round clash on Saturday with a story on Channel 7 News Saturday evening and an article in the Herald Sun the same day.

The Rovers were the feature of the ?Community Football? story which ran second on the sports segment with footage of the game and interviews of Mick Malthouse and David Parkin prior to the game. The video can now be viewed online: HRTV.

Also on Saturday, page 80 of the Herald Sun featured the article ?Keeping flags flying? focusing on Athol Porter’s contribution to the club. The article mentions the Australian and Rovers flags Athol puts up prior to every home game, reflects on the 1951 A Grade Premiership and mentions Saturday’s big game against Ormond as part of the Community Football Weekend.
