The 2008 Hampton Rovers website has been launched as the new season fast approaches. After a record year for the site in which it was visited almost 230,000 times, 2008 sees the biggest facelift in a number of years.
A brand new layout optimised for larger displays improves the look while the new menu system across the top of the page improves navigation through the site.
A number of new pages have been created while existing pages have been improved. You can now view satellite images and maps of grounds by clicking on a ground name in the fixtures section. In the same section you can also see head-to-head results by clicking on an opposition name. This current backtracks to results from 2003 onwards however this will be expanded in the future. New team pages are also now available.
The news index has been improved, you can now easily view news from any year back to 2002. With events, you can now click a button to add it to your favourite calendar program so you don?t forget all the big Hampton Rovers events. More features and improvements are due in the lead-up to the 2008 season.
The new site also introduces Rovers Mobile – a website optimised for viewing on mobile phones and other portable devices such as Blackberrys and PDAs. You can now access Rovers information including news, fixtures, results and more on the go. Simply visit www.hamptonrovers.com.au/mobile from your mobile device.
