Pre-Season Training got underway Wednesday evening with good numbers in attendance. Despite the wet weather, around 30 players were on hand for the first session as the Rovers prepare for C Section in 2008.
Marc Stafford is running Pre-Season training again in 2007/08. The fitness of the players in 2007 was a stand-out feature and we look forward to Marcs involvement once again to ensure this is the case in C Section.
After a successful 2007 season in which the Hampton Rovers gained promotion straight back up to C Section, the club must now work hard to ensure 2008 is another great year.
Pre-Season training will continue Mondays and Wednesdays concluding on the 19th of December with Christmas BBQ & Drinks at the club. Players are to meet at the club at 6pm unless otherwise notified. Venues include the club (gym), Dendy Park, the beach and ball work at Sandringham Secondary College.
The club is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Curry as Reserves coach and Anthony Quon as Under 19’s coach for the 2008 season.
We look forward to seeing all existing 2007 players at Pre-Season training as we look forward to an exciting 2008 in C Section. New players are also more than welcome to come down for a run.
