The VAFAs leading website continues to show the way and prove to be one of the most popular, with record numbers visiting the Hampton Rovers website during May. So far in 2006, hamptonrovers.com.au has been visited over 51,000 times.
Hampton Rovers AFC were the first non-AFL Football Club to have a website back in 1998, and the site has gone from strength to strength ever since.
OldXavs.com recently claimed to go ?where no footy site has ever gone before? after a record 8580 people visited their site during May. However in the same month, the Rovers registered 14,293 visits and a mammoth 87,642 page views, more than double than at the same time last year. Thats an average of 461 visits and 2827 page views per day – a stunning effort for a local footy club.
The most popular day in 2006 was Wednesday 3rd May when the Rovers website was visited 624 times, while the greatest number of page views occurred on Monday 15th May with 4233 views. The Rovers website leads the way in technology with a fully integrated database backend and online membership system currently with 629 members, most of which receive the weekly e-Newsletter. New features have regularly been introduced to the Rovers website, the most recent of which is the latest Fox Sports News and the all-new fixtures/results pages – including a fixture page that allows you to see recent results between two teams when viewing a particular game.
