The Monash Blues inflicted the Rovers third loss of the season as they ran out 12 point winners in wet conditions at
Due to the conditions, the game was a scrappy one, however the Rovers seemed to dominate play in the first term and led at the first break by 10 points.
Rovers scored two goals in the second but let Monash kick 4 as the home side took a 1 point lead into the main break.
Further rain slowed down the game and skills were lacking from both sides. Both teams kicked 2 goals each in the third. Monash lead by 4 points at the final break.
The lead changed several times in the final quarter and the game was up for the taking for whoever wanted it most. Rovers had their chances but couldn?t capitalise late in the game as Monash lead by 6 points. Another goal sealed the win for the students.

It was a better result for both the Reserves and Under 19s. The Ressies recorded a 64 point win over Monash. Best for the Rovers were Lake, Cave & Terech, while
At Boss James, the Under 19s defeated Oakleigh Clays by 57 points. Ross, O?Brien & Rootsey all played well, as did White with 3 goals. All three Rovers senior sides are now 4th on their respective ladders.
