Jared Brunmeier leaves Australia a winner
Jared Brunmeiers stint at Hampton Rovers came to an end Saturday in the Reserves 19-point win over 1st-placed Ajax. Jared is the 2004 AFLUSA scholarship holder and gained his first impressions of Australian Rules Football by training with Essendon under coach Kevin Sheedy.
Jared has been a key player for the Reserves all season, featuring in the best players on a number of occasions. Jared returns to the USA on Wednesday, so he can attend a wedding. All we need to do is raise some money for a plane ticket, and Jared can be back in Australia to join the Reserves in the finals. If you think you could help out, we would love to hear from you.
Jared was carried off Trevor Barker Oval by his team-mates, and sung the song for one last time.
This is just the start of Hampton Rovers AFCs involvement with International Australian Rules Football. For more information, visit www.hamptonrovers.com.au/international/
