South Africa experience footy Rovers-style
The Hampton Rovers AFC last night gave the United States
and South African Australian Rules Football teams a
taste of local footy. The two nations, who compete
against each other in the opening game of the 2005
International Cup, visited the Rovers to catch a glimpse

International Cup
The second International Cup commences in Melbourne on
Wednesday 3rd August. The inaugural Cup in 2002 was a
great success with 11 nations competing. The same number
of nations will compete this year and the Grand Final

making a name in South Africa
There are many local Bayside kids over the years that
have played their first game of Footy in a Rovers
Jumper. These days, there are kids in the unlikely town
of Bodibe in South Africa also experiencing their first
taste of Australian Football wearing the Green and Gold.

excess of 60 players and officials in attendance and all
