The Rivalry Resumes

Hampton Rovers AFC face up against Ajax this Saturday at Boss James Reserve to kick-off the 2004 VAFA season. The two sides have a great rivalry which hasn?t taken place since the 2000 season.

This game has traditionally attracted a big crowd to Boss James, and this Saturday will be no different. Ajax have been promoted to C section after making the D1 grand final in 2004, while the Rovers face another season in C following two years in B section.

As usual, the president’s luncheon will take place prior to the big game. Cost is just $15 for club members and $20 for non-members. Bookings can be made no later than Wednesday and can be made online by clicking here.

Meanwhile, the Under 19’s take on Old Ivanhoe away at Chelsworth Park (Irvine Road, Ivanhoe – Melway: 31 G10).

The season also commences for the Under 16’s and 17’s this weekend, with both teams playing away on Sunday. For full details, visit the Fixtures section.
