Pre-Season Training underway

Training for the 2018 season is now underway for both the men and women and continues until mid-December. We welcome all new and existing players.

The club plans to field up to five senior men’s teams in the VAFA in 2018 and we invite all players to pre-season training which commenced on Wednesday 15th November with newly-appointed senior coach Anthony Quon addressing the playing group followed by a light session.

Training continues each Monday and Wednesday 6pm at St James College, Bignall Rd East Bentleigh, with the final session on Monday 11th December followed by a BBQ at the club.

Registrations for the 2018 VAFA season will open soon.

The club recently announced it’ll be fielding two women’s teams in the VAFA in 2018 following a successful inaugural season. Pre-Season Training will be held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, commencing on the 14th of November. Sessions will run from 6:30pm until 8pm at Mentone Girls Secondary College (enter via Charman Road).

Tuesdays have been programmed for a combo of fitness, skills and strength training. Thursdays will be run by special guest, former Western Bulldogs AFLW player and now Essendon VFLW assistant coach Lauren Morecroft. BYO water bottles and runners to sessions (no boots). With up to seven senior teams in the VAFA in 2018, there’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved. All new and existing players are welcome and encouraged to attend pre-season training to help make 2018 a big and successful year for the club.
