Seniors

Devereaux Rovers Best

Mark Devereaux won his first Hampton Rovers Best and Fairest award, finishing the year on 124 votes, a massive 52 votes ahead of second placed Jason Zampaglione. Mark, along with the other two winners, received the inaugural Hampton Rovers Best and Fairest medallions, in front of a full-house at a fantastic Presentation Night on Saturday.

For the first time, the seniors vote count was combined with the Presentation Night to create one great night. The 130-seat Mentone Grammar Function Centre was full to capacity for the Brownlow Medal themed night. Guests were treated to a fine three course meal, while the night ended with music from DJ Justin Ng.

Mark Devereaux has had an outstanding season for the Rovers playing all 21 games and regularly featuring in the best players. Zampaglione finished second on 72 votes followed by Gerrard Woods on 70.

The Reserves was taken out by Justin Ng on 99 votes while Jesse Lovig won the Under 19’s B&F on 111 votes for the season.

The night also featured an emotional tribute to the late Graham Carr who was deservedly named best clubman of the year.
