New club logo unveiled

A new look has been unveiled for the Hampton Rovers Football Club with the release of a new club logo for 2018 and beyond.  It coincides with the launch of the new club website.

Both the senior and junior committee worked hard throughout 2017 to come up with a fresh new look to drive the club into its next chapter. Multiple versions were created, people within the club consulted and countless revisions made as the logo was perfected. It’s the first change of logo in a long time for the club which was founded in 1929 and will celebrate its 90th birthday next year.

The new logo features a strong, bold, modern HR to clearly identify what it is, Hampton Rovers FC across the top and proudly displaying the founding year across the bottom. The club continues to undergo change, most notably with the introduction of women’s football, record playing numbers and the updating of facilities. The new logo recognises this, is more marketable and a logo everyone – from Auskick through to Seniors – can associate with.

All branding and merchandise will progressively be updated to incorporate the new logo including senior playing jumpers, shirts and jackets amongst other items, while new stickers are on the way which we encourage everyone to proudly display on cars and anywhere else you wish. The old club logo will not be completely forgotten however, remaining within the existing Hall of Fame and Roverians logos.

The new club website has also been launched as the club prepares for a big 2018 season. Hampton Rovers were one of the first clubs to have an online presence, way back in 1998, and continue to lead the way in the digital space. Now in its 20th year, the new website has been completely rebuilt from the ground up for the first time in a decade.

It is now responsive so the entire site works seamlessly across all devices so you can now view every page on your mobile, has an improved layout, better fixture lists, player profiles for everyone who has played seniors since 2003 and an online shop where players and supporters can purchase merchandise, membership and event tickets online (merchandise will be available closer towards the start of the season). More features will be released in the lead-up to the new season.

The club is looking excitingly towards the 2018 season and encourages everyone to get involved – whether that’s playing, becoming a member, helping out as an official or around the club, or simply showing your support at matches and events.
