New Hampton Rovers Auskick ambassador Cameron Sharp joined fellow senior player Richard Atkins on Saturday to talk to the kids about playing for the Rovers and got involved in the skills and drills.
The young Auskickers loved the experience and asked the senior Rovers players lots of questions. Following the chat they got involved in the action and the kids enjoyed seeing real Rovers players in get amongst the drills. Great effort by the guys to participate before heading over to St Kevin’s to play for the Rovers that afternoon.
This is the first year Rovers Auskick as sponsored a senior player, but the start of a tradition we hope to continue for years to come, building a solid connection across all three sections of the footy club.
Cameron and other players will be in attendance at various sessions throughout the season, while there’ll also be a Seniors takeover Auskick day in June in what should be a brilliant display of green and gold.
Hampton Rovers Auskick is held each Saturday morning (9am – 10:30am) primarily at Boss James Reserve with some sessions at Castlefield. It’s not too late to join – visit www.hamptonrovers.com.au/auskick for details.
