Vale John Smith
The club was saddened to hear of the passing of former player John Smith last Sunday at the age of 68 following a stroke last Thursday.
John played with the club in the late 1960’s, last playing in 1970. He played predominantly in the seniors and was known to be mobile, with a very accurate left foot.
He continued to have a strong interest in the Hampton Rovers Football Club and attended the finals series last year where the seniors won back-to-back flags.
John’s funeral will be held at St Brigid’s Catholic Church, cnr Main and High Streets Mordialloc on Friday (April 17) at 2.00pm.
