Auskickers take to the MCG during Hawks v Kangas
On Sunday night, 24 of our Auskicker’s took to the MCG at half time in the Hawthorn v North Melbourne game to participate in the nab Auskcik games.
There was much anticipation and excitement as the kids (and parents) entered to the change rooms to prepare for the game. Having donned a combination of mismatched over sized pants and jumpers, our kids all looked the part and were keen to get on with the game. After a long wait in the tunnel we all took the field among a flash of cameras and the cheers of the crowd. The two games our kids participated in were played in great spirit with much excitement. As always, the scores were level when the siren sounded (despite the kids arguing to the contrary). To finish, the kids ran a half lap of honour with plenty of high fives with the crowd which again provided a highlight.
