The 2013 Hampton Rovers season was launched in style on Saturday 6th April with over 100 people coming together to welcome in a new era for the club on the banks of the Yarra.
The theme was Hollywood, and it was a classy affair with red carpet arrivals opening the night in style, before heading upstairs at the Banks Rowing Club with magnificent views of the city skyline across the Yarra River, on a magnificent night in Melbourne.
The formalities included a welcome to season 2013 by new senior president Matthew Gray while new senior coach Guy Martyn looked ahead to the new season. Senior captain Leigh Fletcher spoke of the changes at the club over the off-season and what lay ahead for the year. Social committee member Jess Cook spoke about the new Ladies Membership to the large contingent of women in attendance.
It was a special atmosphere and the excitement about the upcoming season was evident amongst everyone on the night.
