MSJFL Interleague led by Hampton Rovers Boys Win

Posted on

The MSJFL U15 Div1 team created history on Saturday by becoming the first MSJFL representative side to win a Division 1 premiership at the AFLVMJC. League General Manager David Cannizzo described the performance as “a wonderful sporting moment in MSJFL history.”

After three successive wins in the preliminary rounds, the boys entered the grand final in top form. Led by a best on ground performance by Captain (and Hampton Rovers own) Angus Brayshaw, the MSJFL boys proved too strong for the opposition from Riddell Junior Football League. Big men Harry Dear and Sean McLaren booted three each up forward, as the MSJFL powered to a 57 point victory.
