Under 19’s through to Grand Final

The Hampton Rovers Under 19’s defeated Old Haileybury by 22 points in the Preliminary Final Friday night at Elsternwick Park to book a spot in the Grand Final.

The Rovers came out firing and set up a decent quarter time lead. The Bloods improved in the second term, however the Rovers held on and picked up their game again in the second half. A couple of late goals sealed the win for Hampton who move into next Friday night’s Grand Final also at Elsternwick Park, against Mazenod.

Final Score Hampton Rovers defeated Old Haileybury 13.15.93 to 10.11.71.

Best players for the Rovers were Kyle Pinto, Cameron Bell, Michael Davis, Jackson Ward, Alex Ross and Brad Trembath. Trembath led the goal kicking with 4, Rory White kicked 2 and singles to Bell, Giasoumi, Batt, Innes, Morecroft, McCarthy and Pinto.

Next Friday’s Grand Final commences at 6:40pm at Elsternwick Park.
