Saturday nights function was a huge success raising $20,000 for the Day Family while raising awareness of depression. 360 people passed through the doors at Boss James Reserve making it one the biggest Rovers functions ever.
A great night was had by all, with many former Rovers players coming back to the club for the first time in a while. It was a true community event with people from the local area and other football clubs also in attendance.
$1,000 was also raised for beyondblue, the national depression initiative, through the selling of blue wristbands.
Music was pumped out by four live bands: Ned Murray – White, Tony J & Glen, Datza, and Stroke the General.
Highlights from the night also included Billy Brownless and Tim Watson auctioning items including a morning with the SEN Morning Glory crew, Billy telling the famous ?kick after the siren? and ?kick over the silo? stories, and much more.
The Hampton Rovers Amateur Football Club & the wider community were brought together as one to support the fight against depression and to help out a great clubman in Joel Day, and the result was simply amazing.
