A Good Day’s Night!

Saturday night’s function was a huge success raising $20,000 for the Day Family while raising awareness of depression. 360 people passed through the doors at Boss James Reserve making it one the biggest Rovers functions ever.

A great night was had by all, with many former Rovers players coming back to the club for the first time in a while. It was a true community event with people from the local area and other football clubs also in attendance.

$1,000 was also raised for beyondblue, the national depression initiative, through the selling of blue wristbands.

Music was pumped out by four live bands: Ned Murray – White, Tony J & Glen, Datza, and Stroke the General.

Highlights from the night also included Billy Brownless and Tim Watson auctioning items including a morning with the SEN Morning Glory crew, Billy telling the famous ?kick after the siren? and ?kick over the silo? stories, and much more.

The Hampton Rovers Amateur Football Club & the wider community were brought together as one to support the fight against depression and to help out a great clubman in Joel Day, and the result was simply amazing.

The club would like to thank everyone involved: from those who volunteered their services in both organising the night and helping out on the night, to those who donated and purchased auction items and donated on the night. See below for a full list of thank-you’s.
