The Hampton Rovers made the trek out to East Keilor on Saturday for their second practice game in the lead up to the new season. All three senior teams had good hit-outs against the EDFL club on a hard surface.
The Seniors had a few new names and several playing their first game for the year and it showed with a sluggish first half, however the margin at half time was only a couple of goals. The third term was a big improvement taking a three goal lead before the home side came back late in the game to win by four points.
The Reserves showed promising form getting up by 60 points while restricting East Keilor to 13 points. The Under 19s also managed a win getting up by 16 points despite finishing the game two men down.
There are no games next weekend due to the Easter break, however there will be a practice game the following weekend, anticipated to be at home. The season kicks-off April 28th and training continues Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm at Boss James Reserve. As always, new players are still welcome.
