The Hampton Rovers Under 19s this year have had 18 players train, out of a list of 22. On top of this 22, several players are trying their hand at local VFL side Sandringham. With VFL practice matches commencing this week, the club will soon know whether these players get listed or return to the Rovers within the next few weeks.
In anticipation of these players being listed by the VFL club, U19 coach Cam McGregor is urging past juniors (and new players) who still qualify for U19s to return to the fold. With the cut-off date of 30th June 1987, he is hoping last years defunct U17s, have several players keen for a game this season. Cam McGregor can be contacted on 0418 345 590.
Training will convert to Monday and Thursday for the U19s starting Monday 19th March, 6pm at Boss James Reserve. Until then, pre-season training will continue with the seniors next Tuesday & Thursday 6pm at Sandringham Secondary College (Holloway Road, Sandringham).
