Two Junior Premierships for the Rovers

Congratulations to the Hampton Rovers Under 14 and Under 11 East teams who both won their Grand Finals recently.

 

The Under 14’s defeated Cheltenham on Sunday 11.11.77 to 7.9.51 to become premiers for the 2006 season.

 

While a week earlier on Sunday 27^th August, Under 11 East won the premiership on defeating East Brighton by 16 points. Final scores were 6.6.42 to 4.2.26. The team went through the season losing just one game, to Beaumaris, who they then went on to defeat in the Semi Final.

 

Well done to both teams for their great wins and to all Hampton Rovers teams for a great 2006 season. The Rovers are one of the largest Football clubs in Australia and the club thanks all players and parents for their continued support.

 

Meanwhile, the club also congratulates five Rovers players who featured in the top votes for the 2006 MSJFL Best & Fairest in their respective competitions.

 

Michael Karayannis shared top spot in Under 14 Div.2 with 26 votes. Tom Youl came 2^nd in Under 15 Div.2 with 22 votes. Alex Woltering came 2^nd in Under 12 East with 17 votes. Christian Saleem came 3^rd in Under 11 West with 17 points.
