Browne to lead Rovers again in 2006

Anthony Browne will lead the Hampton Rovers again in 2006 after he was re-appointed as captain at Thursday night’s Jumper Presentation Night.

This will be Browne’s third season as senior captain. Thoroughly deserved as a great leader on and off the field and a consistent top performer for the Green & Gold, winning four senior best & fairest’s including last year.

Anthony will be supported by Vice-Captain Gerrard Woods. The captaincy role for the Reserves will be shared by Anthony Quon and David Anderson in 2006 while Nathan Foster and Tom Rootsey were announced vice-captains.

The Rovers 2006 campaign commences on Saturday as they take on St.Bedes Mentone away at Mentone Reserve.
