Finals: Two bow out; Two into Deciders

The Hampton Rovers AFC went into last Sunday with four teams taking part in Finals action, and came out with two remaining. The Under 15’s & 16’s will play for the premiership next week following good wins while the season is over for the Under 17’s and the Under 19’s lost their Semi Final.

The Under 19’s opened their 2005 VAFA Finals Series with a tough semi final match-up against Salesian, a team they?ve lost two on all three occasions during the season. The boys put up a good effort but went down by 28 points at Gerry Green Reserve. See the Under 19’s match report for full details.

After a strong year, the Under 17’s 2005 season came to an end in the Preliminary Final. It was better news for the Rovers other two Junior sides with good wins for the Under 16’s & 15’s who both go through to next Sunday’s Grand Final’s.

Both Grand Finals will be played at Mentone Reserve, Brindisi Street this Sunday (September 4th), with the Under 15’s first up at 10:30am v Easy Sandringham and the Under 16’s at 2:30pm v Beaumaris.
