Tight loss in final practice game

The Rovers went down to Beaumaris by 2 goals on Saturday at Banksia Reserve in oppressive 32? conditions. It was the final hit-out before the 2005 VAFA season kicks-off next week against Ajax at Boss James Reserve.

The match was a close encounter and hard fought with the Sharks kicking a couple of late goals to close out the game by 12 points.

It was another solid run for the Rovers who?ve won two of the three games heading into the home and away season. After recruiting well and having good pre-season training, the start of the 2005 season can?t come fast enough.
