Reserves first into Decider

The Hampton Rovers Reserves defeated the Monash Blues by 28 points on Saturday in the 2nd Semi Final to book a place in the Grand Final in a fortnight.

 

Perfect conditions greeted the players and spectators at Trevor Barker Oval.

 

The Rovers dominated the first quarter to take a handy lead into the first break. While letting Monash back in the game, the Rovers managed to hang on, and with late goals, the final margin was 28 points.

 

Best on ground for the Rovers were Hanlon, Crisp, Ng, Kezilas, Duddy & Pucella. Hanlon topped the goal kickers with 4, while Flynn, Johnston & Marshall kicked 2 each. Singles to Crisp, Duddy, Malthouse & Moseby.

 

The Rovers now move onto the Grand Final to be played on Saturday September 11th at Trevor Barker Oval.
