Caulfield dash Rovers hopes

In atrocious conditions at Glenhuntly Oval on Saturday, Hampton Rovers suffered their worst result in recent times going down to Caulfield.

Caulfield handled the wet conditions better and managed 11 goals. The home side flooded the forward line in the final quarter and although with many chances, prevented the Rovers from kicking a goal.

Rovers remain in 5th position on the ladder, however with Monash’s win, are now a game and 12% out of the top 4 which makes it virtually impossible for a finals birth.

It was a dirty day all round for the club with the Reserves and Under 19’s also going down. The Reserves remain 6 points clear on top of the ladder.

Next week is the final home game of the season with the Rovers taking on Therry Penola at Boss James Reserve. It’s also the final luncheon of the year, so make sure you book now, by clicking here.

And Saturday night, the biggest senior function of 2004 is set to rock the Boss with Jakes Revisited. Get down to Boss James for all the fun and $1 shots, from 8pm.
