Any chance of a Rover victory was squashed in the last Quarter when the Artz brothers and Club Captain “Chief” Fletcher were sidelined with injuries, this forced coach Norm Goss to drastically change the sides previous winning line-up, but to no avail as the Old Boys could sense the importance of winning as they brushed aside any opposition to run out the game at their own pace with a 7 goal final quarter, to the Rovers 2.
