After the game Rovers coach Norm Goss said “It was a memorable victory for the boys, playing without their Captain Michael Fletcher who was sidelined in the first 10 minutes and after a see-sawing battle it was exciting to see that our younger players in Nick Greenwood, Leigh Fletcher and Damian Rayson stood up to the pressure and contributed to the win”.
Next weeks game is against Old Brighton Grammarians at the Brighton Beach Oval in another big local derby, after the Rovers victory at this venue last year to avoid relegation the Old Boys will surely be out for revenge.
