Hampton Rovers will once again play in B Section for the 2003 VAFA Season after finishing 8th, in front of Ormond and Therry Penola. Although the Rovers lost to Old Melburnians, Old Brighton defeated Ormond meaning they finished in 9th and therefore relegated to C Section for the first time since the 1930’s. Now is the time for the club to build and be a success in B Section with new recruits and the return of overseas and injured players. Rovers will be joined by St.Bedes Mentone and Whitefriars in 2003 after they met in the C section grand final with Whitefriars winning 134 to 93.
