2014 Fixture released

The 2014 VAFA fixture has been released with the Rovers set to unfurl the premiership flag in round one at Boss James Reserve prior to taking on Parkdale Vultures on April 5.

After an away trip to Marcellin in round two, the Rovers will return home in round three for the big Grand Final re-match against long-time rivals Ormond. It’ll be two huge home clashes in the early stages of the 2013 Premier C campaign.

The Rovers’ return to Premier C section will also see the resumption of a rivalry with another local team, Oakleigh, which has built since the team’s first met in 2007. The clashes will take place in round 7 at Scammell Reserve and round 17 for the final home game of the season at Boss James.

Hampton will close out the regular season away at Gordon Barnard Reserve against Old Camberwell. During the season, there will be lengthy away trips to PEGS (Old Essendon) and Peninsula Old Boys.

There will be three breaks during the season: 19th April, 7th June & 12th July.

Following a successful 2013 season which culminated in the club’s first senior premiership since 2001, steps are being put in place for another exciting year at the Rovers. Pre-season training has started well with good numbers a number of potential recruits looking to wear the green and gold in 2014.
