First overseas exchange program in full swing

Jared Brummier from the Milwakee Bombers has made an impact at the Hampton Rovers AFC. Jared is the 2004 AFLUSA scholarship holder and gained his first impressions of Australian Rules Football by training with Essendon under coach Kevin Sheedy.

Contacts in America gained through the successful BBQ hosted by the Rovers in 2002 with the International teams of USA and PNG convinced Jared to stay and continue his footy education by playing with the Rovers.

Jaded has made steady progress and has featured in the best players in the Reserves. His friendship with Luke Woolrich put into effect the Rovers first exchange program.

Luke left earlier this month to support the education program not only of the players of Milwakee Bombers, but inside their school program designed to increase our sports awareness. (Click here to see Luke’s first travel diary).

Luke reports that it is an experience way beyond his expectations and other supporters/players of the Rovers should get behind this exchange program by emailing him or by contacting Barry Bird.

Luke is on the lookout for training material, equipment and anything
footy to bring the game to the Americans. Luke states that he doesn?t leave the house unless he his wearing his Rovers gear and is proud to be the Rovers first overseas Ambassador.
