Hampton Rovers Amateur Football Club is a proud
club with over 80 years of history and we strive
to be one of the leading sports clubs in the Bayside
area. The club has great facilities at its home
ground Boss James Reserve and is professionally
run. The Hampton Rovers senior team participates
in the VAFA –
Australia’s largest senior football competition
– and the club offers football from the
introductory stage with our Auskick program
right through to junior and senior football as
well as girls football.
In 2011 the Rovers had a total of 20 teams with
U9’s through to U17’s competing in the SMJFL and
U19’s, Thirds, Reserves & Seniors competing in
the VAFA, plus 2011 saw the introduction of two
U12 Girls teams. A total of 551 players wore the green
& gold in 2011 plus 143 participants
in our Auskick program, making the Rovers one of
Australia’s largest Football clubs.
The Rovers are a community-focussed club and not
only do we provide the ideal opportunity for
players of all ages and abilities to play
football, but also provide a great environment
off the field through various social functions
and the general atmosphere that surrounds our
great club.
The Rovers welcome everyone with open arms.
Whether you’re an experienced player looking to
play at the highest level in local footy, a
player wanting a more relaxed environment to
play in the thirds, a parent wanting to get your
kids into footy, a business looking for greater
exposure by sponsoring the club, or a supporter
simply wishing to get behind the club or helping
us out, there is no better time than 2012 to get
on board!
