Rovers host Old Scotch

Hampton Rovers return to Boss James Reserve on Saturday to host Old Scotch in round 9 of the VAFA Premier B season. It’s a big triple-header with the U19s kicking-off at 9:20am plus the Hall of Fame Lunch.

This is the first year Old Scotch have fallen out of Premier section in some 35 years and it’s been a long time since the two clubs have faced-off. The currently sit second on the ladder and went down to Beaumaris by eight goals last week. The Rovers are anchored to the bottom of the table but have been improving in recent weeks, playing top four sides and being too far off the pace while picking up the first win of the campaign.

There are four changes to the Rovers line-up and the boys are looking forward to returning to the home deck after two consecutive away games. It’s also the final game before a week off.

Get along and show your support for the Rovers on Saturday. As mentioned, the Under 19s kick-off proceedings against local rivals Old Brighton at 9:20am, followed by the Reserves at 11:40am and Seniors 2pm v Old Scotch.
