Rovers to face PEGS

Hampton Rovers are on the road this Saturday to face fifth-placed PEGS at Keilor Park in round four of the 2014 VAFA season.

PEGS (formerly Old Essendon) had the better of the Rovers when the two sides last met in 2012 but the Hampton boys will be looking to keep their perfect record intact when they meet at the Penleigh & Essendon Grammar Sporting Fields, Wright Rd, Keilor Park. (view map)

Hampton goes into the game with four changes from the side that defeated Ormond last week, with Lachie Cairns and Sam Dalton set to make their senior debut. It’ll be a tough challenge for the Rovers side and promises to be a good contest.

The Thirds are at Boss James Reserve hosting Ormond at 11:40am. A win isn’t far away for Sebastian Wright’s team, and it may come on the weekend. Get along and show your support for the boys.

The Under 19s take on De La Salle at Waverley Oval, corner Waverley and Malvern Road in East Malvern, commencing at 2:00pm. Despite many players being unavailable this week, coach John Cesario still has 21 to choose from which is a positive sign.

All players and supporters are welcome back to Boss James Reserve following the day’s play. The bar will be open from 6:30pm or thereabouts.
