The Hampton Rovers completed their 2006 pre-season with a loss to C grade newcomers Ormond at Boss James Reserve on Saturday.
The Rovers had several players out as the 2005 D1 Grand Finalists ran over the home side.
The game completes a good pre-season for the Rovers which started before Christmas and included a camp on the shores of Rosebud. Training continues Tuesdays and Thursdays at Boss James Reserve.
The countdown is now on for the real action which kicks off the week after Easter as the Rovers take on St Bedes Mentone at Mentone Reserve.
